5 Things You Need To Know About Getting to Islas Secas

I slas Secas is known for many things: marine safaris, high-end gastronomy, luxurious spa experiences, elevated design… all within an exclusively all-inclusive private island getaway. But what many may not know is that our remote paradise is also incredibly easy to get to.

1. We’re just a short- to mid-haul flight from the USA

Islas Secas might sound far away, but it’s often just a couple of hours’ flight from major US hubs. Dallas to Panama City, for example, is one hour fifty minutes, while JFK is five and a half hours. So you can escape the hullabaloo of the big city and a few hours later be surrounded by a Jurassic wilderness like no other. Even from LAX, a flight to Panama City is only an hour longer than to Hawaii – but on Islas Secas, you’ll have the place all to yourself.

2. A remote archipelago…

…that’s only an hour from Panama City. Our extraordinary archipelago feels like a remote paradise, but is located just 20 miles off Panama’s Pacific coast. Once you land in vibrant Panama City, either enjoy a fantastic stay in the capital or hop on our direct, scheduled one-hour plane transfer, which lands on our private air strip on the main island of Islas Secas.

3. South America is easily accessible

We’re also easy to reach from all the major hubs in South America. Mexico City? No problem – it’s a little under four hours to fly to Panama City. And Sao Paulo is just a seven-hour flight, which makes it an easy trip to complete in a day – and to discover a completely new, exclusive island hideaway.

4. Getting To Islas Secas From Europe

Even if you’re traveling from Europe, getting here is easier than you might think, with three direct routes to Panama City. Regular flights depart from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport in France, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in The Netherlands and Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport in Spain, providing travelers with a hassle-free journey. And once you have landed at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, our private plane will whisk you to Islas Secas.

5. Our own private plane guarantees a smooth transfer

Islas Secas’s private Twin Otter plane is the quickest and easiest way to reach the resort. Scheduled transfers between Tocumen International Airport and Islas Secas operate between three and four times each week, depending on the season. It’s also possible to charter the plane to suit your needs and timings. You can find more details here.
