World-Famous Fishing Adventures
The storied waters around Islas Secas offer world-class fishing at its finest.
Fishing in Panama is legendary – with good reason – and there is nowhere closer to the best spots than Islas Secas. Our luxury fishing resort has Panama’s best access to the world-famous Hannibal Bank and Isla Montuosa, both known for their adventure-filled experiences.
Whether inshore or offshore, our fishing program provides the best of every world.
From off-shore, ethical catch-and-release tuna and marlin fishing programs, to finding the best spots in Panama to hook snappers, grouper and roosterfish, our team of experts will create an unforgettable fishing experience for any level.
Our protected waters are our most-valued asset and we work hard to protect them.
The Islas Secas Foundation works closely with local organizations to strengthen and enforce fisheries regulations and marine protected areas. This includes bringing Panama’s domestic fishing fleet data into the Global Fishing Watch mapping platform, providing training to the fisheries authority, and brokering a regional transparency agreement with neighboring countries.
“The dream destinations are Hannibal Bank and Montuosa Island. We've been coming here for many years, and each time we get great shows of huge marlin, yellowfin tuna and amazing snappers.”

Yes. We can provide some equipment for fly fishing, but if you have your own, we recommend that you bring it with you.
Spearfishing is possible from the resort but as it is a specialist activity we don’t offer equipment or a guide. Guests are welcome to bring/organize their own. Rates to rent the boat are the same as for deep-sea fishing.
