Conservation at Islas Secas - Breebart

Conservation is a Collective Effort

We believe that conservation needs to be a collective effort, and carefully choose like-minded partners that share our passion and ethos to achieve our long-term stewardship goals. At their heart, these collaborations strive to support the protection of the Islas Secas archipelago, the Gulf of Chiriquí and the wider Eastern Tropical Pacific – and this thread runs through everything we do.

Field work that makes a difference

Our conservation work includes hands-on fieldwork through meaningful collaborations with international research partners. These include whale monitoring, coral research and ocean health monitoring with Panacetacea, CCIMBIO, MarViva and the Smithsonian Institution, as well as bird conservation with the Panama Audubon Society, and mangrove restoration with Wetlands International. Given our long-term focus, these efforts are key to generating data that in turn supports conservation planning across the Eastern Tropical Pacific marine corridor and beyond.
