What to Pack for a Private Island Vacation to Islas Secas
T he first thing you need to know is that you won’t need to bring very much. A vacation on our luxury private island resort is a relaxed affair, where you’ll spend most of your time in or near the sparkling sea, and even celebratory dinners under the stars can be as laid-back as you wish.
Here are our top tips on what to pack:
- Our dress code is ‘come as you are’. We’re a stylishly relaxed resort, so dress up for dinner if you want to, but you’re equally welcome to be as low-key and laid-back as you like. No shoes? No problem.
- We are blessed with a warm, tropical climate so packing light is key. Think natural, breathable fabrics, lots of swimwear, and light layers for the evenings.
- Islas Secas offers a huge range of activities, from marine safaris to luxurious spa and wellness experiences, so bring along closed-toe shoes/sneakers for hikes (or sandals with a good grip if you’re here in dry season), plus work-out or yoga gear.
- Our ultimate all-inclusive offering includes a daily, complimentary laundry service, which means we’ll make sure your favorite items will be freshly laundered and pressed as you need them.
- There’s no need to bring your own insect repellent. Although we don’t have a shop in the resort, we do provide you with natural, organic insect repellent to keep away the occasional sand fly or mosquito.
- As part of our sustainable ethos, we’re striving to protect our beautiful marine environment, and provide guests with high-factor reef-safe sunscreen to make sure you’re protected and our healthy reefs stay that way.
- Do remember that we are a remote, private island, so please bring along any medicine or medical treatment you might require.
- In terms of weight, we recommend around 50 lbs (22 kg) per person. And don’t worry: we’ll be in touch before you arrive to advise you on getting here and any required luggage dimensions for the transfer.
