…from our selection of luxury accommodations, from the airy, elevated Tented Casitas overlooking the islands, to four-villa Casita Grande, or our newest addition, the extraordinary 8,300-foot Casa Cavada. For the ultimate Islas Secas experience, take over the entire resort for a luxury Panama experience of a lifetime.
Dive In
Let the adventures begin… Our private archipelago and surrounding protected waters are home to a staggering 750 marine species, while Islas Secas is home to some of the best equipment in Panama – think cutting-edge yachts, catamarans, scuba equipment, Swarovski binoculars and watersports toys galore. That leaves a lot of scope exploration, and our expert team will create your own Marine Safari, tailored to your group and your interests.
Go deeper
Fancy stand-up paddle boarding in emerald waters, or Seabobbing through the waves? Or how about scuba diving around dramatic seamounts, spotting manta rays or hammerhead sharks? Add to that snorkeling over protected coral reefs, kayaking in empty coves, and a beach day on your very own private island and you’ve got your perfect ocean safari. Visit during whale season, and you’ll even get to experience our magnificent humpback whales on our whale-watching excursions.
The Big Blue Five
That’s what we call our most dramatic visitors and residents: humpback whales, hammerhead sharks, whalesharks, sea turtles and manta rays. Come to Islas Secas on a Marine Safari and you’ll have the chance to spot these glorious creatures of the deep. And we love to get guests involved with citizen science: just speak to one of our expert guides to find out more.
Beyond Islas Secas
While our private collection of unspoilt islands are your personal playground during your stay, we are also just an hour’s boat-ride away from Coiba National Park, a UNESCO-designated Marine Protected Area, home to the second-largest coral reef in the Eastern Tropical Pacific. With spectacular scuba diving and immersive nature walks, it’s a fantastic add-on to your Marine Safari.
Did You Know?
The Eastern Tropical Pacific hosts one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. In recognition of the uniqueness of this area, the governments of Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador signed a joint declaration in 2004 that created the Eastern Tropical Pacific Marine Corridor (CMAR for its acronym in Spanish), acknowledging the ecological connectivity between marine protected areas (MPAs) and promoting the sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity.
