F rom family groups to romantic honeymooners, here’s what to expect (plus some very nice surprises!) at our private island resort.

It's day one. You’ve just arrived so take a moment to drink in your surroundings.

The sound of birdsong, a gentle sea breeze ruffing through the trees, the lap-lap-lap of the Pacific on our caster-sugar beach. We’ll show you around, and then you’re free to explore your Casita, roam around the island and take in everything Islas Secas has to offer. Round off arrival day with a mixology session at Balboa Bar with Johan. But beware – he’s not known as the ‘Master of Disaster’ for nothing…

Day two

It’s your first full day with us, so let us arrange a private beach day for you on Canales beach. We’ll take care of everything – just come along for the ride and we’ll leave you on our own tropical paradise beach with a scrumptious picnic. In the evening, relax with a delicious five-course meal in Terraza, with extraordinary daily-changing menus that are deeply inspired by Panama, showcasing the finest local, seasonal, and organic ingredients from our talented team, led by Saul.

Day three:

Feeling active? Hit the water and explore with our array of sea toys, from SUPs and seabobs to E-foils and kayaks. Or head over to the famous Coiba National Park for some of the most extraordinary scuba diving in Panama. After all that activity, drop into our luxury Secascent Spa for a rejuvenating post-adventure treatment, followed by a refreshing homemade seasonal fruit popsicle and an herbal infusion in our Hummingbird Garden.

Day four

Today’s a day for relaxation, so we’ll leave the choice to you: kick back in the privacy of your Casita; hang at the beach and explore our house reef with some snorkeling; or have a pool day with a difference, besides our staggeringly beautiful main infinity pool overlooking the ocean, which can take center stage for anything from sunrise yoga to a sun-dappled lunch. Then, in the evening, we can arrange a beach dinner, feasting on our Panamanian cuisine with your feet in the sand beside a fire roaring beneath the stars.

Day five

By now, you’re more familiar with Islas Secas, so day 5 is the day to explore further afield. Join Beny, our Conservation Manager, for a fantastic whale-watching trip during Green Season, from June to October. He’ll explain everything you need to know about the incredible migrating humpback whales that pass through our waters.

Day six

Did you know that we are custodians of our archipelago and work hard to conserve it? Beny will provide some fascinating insight into how we’re protecting our unique surroundings during his conservation talk at Balboa bar, or you can take a guided nature hike and try some birding to spot one of our 97 endemic species. Then it’s time for a sunset boat trip onboard Cavada, for a magical cruise around Coco and Barracuda Islands where you’ll also get to see the soaring frigatebirds and boobies that inhabit the islands. Look for the occasional frolicking dolphin as you tuck into delicious charcuterie, dips, and a glass of bubbles.

Day seven

A morning swim, some beach yoga, a last pre-travel treatment in the Spa, and alas, it’s time to part ways! But you know you’ve made memories to last a lifetime, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to make more…
